Pregnancy and children
Can I fly during pregnancy? What documents are required?
Whether it is possible to fly during pregnancy, should decide a pregnant woman herself, give her well-being, opportunities and needs.
Most airlines, starting from 28 weeks of pregnancy, require a certificate from a doctor (in English, it shall be issued not earlier than 14 days prior to departure), which specify that pregnancy passed without complications, the planned childbirth time and that proves that you can fly by plane. If a pregnant woman with a pregnancy more than 28 weeks can not provide such a certificate, the airline reserves the right to refuse boarding on a flight.
Having the necessary certificate, a pregnant woman waiting for twins, triplets and more children is allowed to fly at a pregnancy up to 32 weeks and up to 36 weeks while waiting for a single child.
What discounts are available for the children?
Each airline sets its own price list for children and infants up to 2 years old.
Can a minor fly unaccompanied?
Most low cost airlines do not allow for the minors under 16 years old to flight unaccompanied. The exception is the Wizzair airline with the 14 years age limit. Other airlines, like SAS, LOT, etc., allow children to fly unaccompanied from 12 years old.
