What are the rules of baggage allowance?

Depending on the airline you can carry free of charge the baggage from a small handbag of size 42x32x25 cm to hand and checked baggage weighing up to 30 kg. It is not excluded that a baggage fee would apply to the checked baggage. We recommend to pay attention to the information received with your ticket.

What should I do if my hand baggage exceeds the permissible limits. Am I allowed to board?

The low cost airlines (Ryanair, Wizzair) strictly limit the allowed free hand baggage, so if you exceed the permissible limits, you may have to pay an extra charge and pass it in the baggage compartment.  

Will the baggage be loaded again for the next flight in the connection airports? 

Reload of the baggage for the next flight in the connecting airports is not a service provided by low cost airlines (Ryanair, Wizzair, Easyjet, etc.). We recommend to pay attention to the information received with your order. There you will find detailed information on your baggage.

What baggage is permitted with a child?

With an infant under 2 years is allowed to carry a foldable baby carriage, booster seat and food for the duration of the flight. Other baggage is not allowed for the infant. The standard baggage allowance apply for the children aged 2 to 14 years (most airlines allow to carry with them a foldable baby carriage and booster seat). Please contact us for more information.  

What are allowable items in the baggage?

The rules of the liquids and prohibited items apply for the hand baggage. In special cases, please contact the customs department of Riga airport by phone +371 67207108.

Can I carry a medication?

Nonprescription medications you can take with you without restriction, but only for personal use. For prescription medications you must have a prescription issued by a doctor or a book of compensated medicines.

Can I transport animals / pets?

If you want to take with you a pet or an animal on a flight, please contact us to clarify for a list of airlines that allow carriage of the animals on board. The low cost airline (Ryanair, Wizz air) do not transport any animals neither in the cabin nor in the baggage compartment..

How can I carry musical instruments?

If you want to carry a small musical instruments such as guitar or violin, having dimensions that exceed airline's allowance for a hand baggage, you need to purchase for a surcharge an extra seat in the aircraft cabin for the instrument.

To do so please write ITEM SEAT in the surname field and EXTRA in the name field. Thus EXTRA ITEM SEAT will appear in the booking form and in the boarding pass. Upon online check-in you should enter the document details of the person carrying the musical instrument.

If the musical instrument does not exceed the dimensions set by the airline for the hand bggage, it can be taken into the cabin without extra charge. Though, no other hand baggage is allowed. Another option is to hand the musical instrument to the baggage compartment of the aircraft.

What should I do if my baggage did not arrive along with me?
