On July 1, 2018, the Directive (EC) 2015/2302 of the European Parliament and of the Council on package travel and linked travel arrangements comes into effect, which is transposed into the national legislation of the Republic of Latvia.

On 14 July – 18 August 2017, Vilnius Airport runway will be under reconstruction.

The summer flight schedule will come into force at the international airport "Rīga" on Sunday, March 27. It is planned that three new airlines will start operations, while national airline airBaltic will launch new destinations, as well as will restore the number of flight direction not executed in the winter season.
