Vilnius Airport Runway Reconstruction

Reconstruction of the runway at Vilnius airport will last 35 days, from 00:00 July 14 to 23:59 August 17. Vilnius airport is planned to resume its operations after August 18.

 

The runway will be reconstructed from the essence – changed old coating, insulated and strengthened foundation, installed new drainage and rainwater collection systems, reconstructed lights and their management system. The tender was won by a merged consortium of Latvian and Lithuanian companies, which is led by the company “A.C.B.”

 

While aviation activities in the Vilnius airport will not be carried out, 14 of the 16 airlines operating in the capital of Lithuania are going to transfer their flights to Kaunas airport.
