General information

General information about services included and not included in the price of the cruise is provided in this brochure.

Embarkation

Boarding usually starts 3 or 4 hours before departure time which would be shown on your ticket. Registration finishes 1 hour before ship departure, except American ports where registration ends 2 hours before departure. During the time of entry traveller have to follow certain steps:

• Leave your luggage with the port staff member who will take your luggage’s in your cabin. All bags should be attached note with your name and surname, your cabin number, date and port of departure name. Crew members will help to arrange all necessary things.
• After document check traveller will receive magnetic card with what you will be able to pay for excursions, beverage, laundry services, cabin maids, hair dresser, SPA procedures, buys in duty free shop and photographer. Casino is not included. To get the magnetic card first you have to register your credit card or you can pay certain amount (300 EUR for cabin). We do accept „VISA”, „VISA ELECTRON”, „MASTER CARD”, „JCB” and „AMERICAN EXPRESS”.

Currency

For destinations to Mediterranean sea and North Europe official currency is euro but destinations to Caribbean sea, South America and South Africa currency is US Dollars.

Service charge

Client service charge is for staff member who is working on the ship and who will be looking after you during the journey. Service charge will be added to the final bill which you have to pay in the end of the journey. Service charge amount and currency depends on client age and chosen destination. Starting from 2016/ 2017 year autumn-winter season MSC has different types of service charges:

Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Antilles, Canary Is. and Emirates / Grand Cruises to/from Emirates, Antilles, Canary Is.

• Adults (12 and over) - 10 EUR per night
• Child (2 up to 12) - 5 EUR per night
• ​Child (under 2) - no service charge applied

Grand Cruises from Dubai to Australia

• Adults (12 and over) - 9 USD per night
• Child (2 up to 12) - 4.5 USD per night
• ​Child (under 2) - no service charge applied

Caribbean / Grand Cruises from Caribbean

• Adults (12 and over) - 12.5 USD per night
• Child (2 up to 12) - 6.25 USD per night
• Child (under 2) - no service charge applied

Grand Cruises to Caribbean

• Adults (12 and over) - 10 EUR per night
• Child (2 up to 12) - 5 EUR per night
• Child (under 2) - no service charge applied

South Africa Cruises / Grand Cruises from South Africa (Northbound)

• Adults (12 and over) - 8 USD / 12 USD per night
• Child (2 up to 12) - 6 USD per night
• Child (under 2) - no service charge applied

Grand Cruises to South Africa (Southbound)

• Adults (12 and over) - 10 EUR per night

South America Cruises / Grand Cruises from South America

• Adults (12 and over) – 12.5 USD per night

Grand Cruises to South America (Westbound)

• Adults (12 and over) - 10 EUR per night
• Child (2 up to 12) - 5 EUR per night

Meal on the ship

• Early breakfast served from 6:30am-7am;
• Breakfast served from 7am-9am;
• Self service breakfast buffet served from 7am-10am;
• Room service (breakfast in cabin) 7am-10am (except arrival date);
• Lunch and self service lunch buffet served from 12pm-14:30pm;
• Dinner served from 19pm - 20:45pm (first seating) 21pm - 22:45pm (second seating)

Meal times could change because of your arrival time but that will be updated daily. MSC offers special dietary requirements but that have to be notified before departure.

Dress Code

While relaxing on the ship we suggest you to wear something casual and comfortable. Formal wears for the dinner time. Gala dinner women’s require wearing long dresses, men’s have to wear dark suite. Less formal evening’s women’s require to wear summer dresses and men’s light material jackets. Formal evening’s women’s require wearing cocktail dresses and men’s light material suite or almost formal suite.

When going to excursions have to choose comfortable and free clothing and have to keep in mind different culture dress requirements for example: can’t wear shorts or short skirts or swim suites, have to cover head or shoulders while going to temples etc. All information will be provided in excursion guide leaflet to avoid disappointment.

Smoking areas

Smoking is permitted in several location on each ship, and on the side (indicated by signage) of the main pool desk. Please refrain from throwing cigarette butts over the side of the ship, as they could be blown back on board and start a fire. Smoking of cigars is only permitted in the dedicated “Cigar Lounge”, where available, or in smoking areas on the open decks. 

Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is not permitted at any time in buffets, restaurants, medical centres, childcare areas, corridors, elevator foyers, public toilets, theatre, near food service arrears in bars or in any area where groups are assembled for safety exercises, disembarkation or tour departure and in cabins or on cabin balconies. If evidence of smoking is found, a supplementary cleaning fee of €70 will be added to your account.

Daily program

Every evening cabin cleaner will leave detailed next day’s plan. There will be all information about entertainments offered by “MSC Cruise” in the leaflet, about, meals and timings, great deals and offers on the ship and excursions.

Entertainment

MSC is offering wide range of entertainment to make your time more enjoyable: Access to high standard gym, different kinds of games, table tennis, lawn tennis, volleyball, shuffleboard, pool. Take part one of our singing and beauty competitions (who knows maybe you are the lucky one) or take a part one of our mask ball party’s!! We haven’t forgotten about special occasions in your life too for that we are offering to hire live music singer.

Entertainment for the children

Kids go free!!!

• mini club (kids from 3-9 years old, available during excursions time);
• junior club ( age 9-13);
• teenage club (age above 13).

Other services

• Medical centre: professional nurses and therapist will provide necessary treatments (all treatments costs extra);
• For extra cost: photographer, Turkish sauna, SPA, Casino, videogames, indoor golf, internet, hairdresser, beauty treatments, sauna and massage, laundry and ironing services.
• Mail consignments can be delivered to the information center, which would expose the postage and will pass them to local postal employees.
